About Us |
Farm Chicks Produce operates out of Sunbury, NC. We are a small family owned farm. It began almost 10 years ago when we answered an add in the paper that read, “Old farmhouse in desperate need of repair.” The headline was being kind. It took three years to make the house inhabitable. The first year we began with a 100′ x 50′ garden and a few chickens and have expanded yearly. We grow just about everything including apples, plums, cherries, blueberries and pears. We take pride in what we grow.
We have two market stands in Chesapeake, VA. One in City Hall Park and the other in Great Bridge.

Amy Cooper
I grew up in the City of Fairfax in Northern Virginia where outdoor space was always limited. I remember talking to my girlfriends in high school about future dreams and career aspirations. I clearly remember telling my friends I wanted a farmhouse where I could have all the animals, flowers and vegetables I ever wanted. I used to joke that I wanted to marry an Amish man because that would provide me with a way “in.”Never did I imagine that my passion would become growing healthy, beautiful fruits, vegetables and flowers and that the bulk of my time would revolve around providing people with homegrown food. |
Michelle Munoz
Kind, gentle, sweet, understated and hard working, Michelle wants to go to UNC, Chapell Hill. In between maintaining an A average, Varsity Cheer leading and Playmakers, faithfully, since she was 12 she has been up every Wednesday and Saturday at 4:30 a.m. to pick and load a truck. Michelle works full time at home and at the market. She is responsible for the soaps, teas, baked goods and spice blends we sell. |
Maddy Munoz
Maddy is my baby girl who spends almost as much time working outside as I do. She is queen at picking and has a true green thumb. Competitive, energetic and thoughtful she is always happy to see everyone at the Market. Maddy prefers to be hands on with the vegetables and flowers and prefers to stay out of the kitchen. She is the one who makes the pretty bouquets that accompany us every weekend. |
